What to watch for during the Oregon Ducks' spring football game.

Live football is coming back to Autzen Stadium. Let us know your thoughts, comment on this story below.

Join the conversation today. Oregon's rushing attack is unrivaled, and their young secondary came to play against an elite passing team.

Here are our 5 takeaways from De'Anthony Thomas offensive coordinator and Haloti Ngata defensive coordinator will serve as honorary coaches for the Yellow team, while La'Michael James offensive coordinator and Arik Armstead defensive coordinator will coach the Green team. Many other former players and alumni will also be back in Eugene for the Spring Game. Vaccinations and face coverings are no longer required at Autzen Stadium.

Bo Nix, Ty Thompson, and Jay Butterfield have been rotating between the first, second, and third-team offenses throughout the spring. As all three quarterbacks are vying for the starting job this fall, each should see a lot of snaps on Saturday. Nix has the most experience out of all three players, as he played three seasons at Auburn before transferring to Oregon in December. Thompson is Oregon's highest recruited quarterback ever, but he rarely saw the field in his first season with the team because of starter Anthony Brown.

Butterfield also played sparingly during his time with the Ducks as he was a consensus four-star recruit. Oregon won't likely name its starting quarterback following Saturday's spring game, but Nix, Thompson and Butterfield could get a significant advantage heading into the summer into fall camp.

The teams will be split into the "green team" and the "yellow team. Rosters for each team began to trickle out on Tuesday with the wide receivers and cornerbacks revealed for each team, followed by the trenches on Wednesday.

But there will be a slight twist to the spring game's format this year. The Oregon coaching staff will call plays for the first three quarters, while four Oregon legends will call plays for their respective teams in the fourth quarter. De'Anthony Thomas offensive coordinator and Haloti Ngata defensive coordinator will serve as honorary coaches for the yellow team, while La'Michael James offensive coordinator and Arik Armstead defensive coordinator will represent the green team.

Lanning spoke about choosing honorary coaches for the spring game, staying true to his values of reconnecting with the alumni that built the program.

He registered a yard run in the first half. He followed that up with a two-yard touchdown. After suffering a leg injury that sidelined him for the entire season, Sean Dollars also looks to be completely healthy.

On the Green team's second drive of the game, Dollars recorded a tough yard run. He finished the game with 49 yards on nine carries. Whittington, Dollars and sophomore Byron Cardwell as a committee will have an opportunity to fill the shoes left by Dye's departure. Camden Lewis hits a field goal to make it Yellow team with left in the spring game. Ty Thompson first second-half pass was returned by Trikweze Bridges for a touchdown.

The game is tied Yellow ties it up at 21 on the Trikweze pick 6! Chase Cota is going to be big for the Oregon offense. He is a veteran that's played in big games and someone who is willing to make tough catches in space. This was only after he had a long run on the previous down. Green team up with left in second quarter.

Bo Nix, Ty Thompson and Jay Butterfield all have each thrown a touchdown pass for Oregon and it is early in the second quarter. Pre-Game Information Inflatables and obstacle courses will be held inside the Moshofsky center, along with face-painting and balloon artists. Running clock except for scores, penalties, change of possession, and the last three minutes of each half.
